Big Time Operator

Big Time Operator is a high-energy little Big Band based in San Diego that puts out as much music as a swing band or orchestra twice its size. They prove that you don't have to be born in the 30's to be able produce that authentic Big Band sound of that era. Big Time Operator updated the music with their arrangements but haven't lost the dancing spirit of the music. This CD runs 61 minutes and 19 seconds (Sing, Sing, Sing is *that* long?!?!?). On yeah, Big Time Operator was the 1997 San Diego Music Awards Big Band.

My favorites for dancing are: Calloway Boogie, Big Time Operator, Are You Hep To The Jive?, Fly Me To The Moon and Smack Dab In The Middle. It might be my imagination, but it seems like it's possible to dance to their rendition of Sing, Sing, Sing. Nah, not for 16 minutes.
