Hartford Swing is two parts of an volunteer-run swing dance club that offers swing dancing throughout the year under the non-profit umbrella organization, Hartford Community Dance. All dances are alcohol- and smoke-free. Membership is not required but does provide discounts to all HCD dances.

Hartford Swing Dance hosts swing bands at the West Hartford Town Hall on the 1st Fridays of every month.

Hartford Swing Jam offers a DJ dance at the Wethersfield American Legion Hall in Wethersfield on the 4th Saturday of the month.

Hartford Community Dance offers 5 different venues for dance in the the central Connecticut Area:

Swing Dance with live music. (1st Friday)
Contra Dance with live music. (2nd Saturday)
Cajun/Zydeco dance with live music (3rd Saturday)
SwingJam with record music (4th Saturday)
Mostly Waltz with live music (Sundays)

Join Hartford Community Dance and get reduced price admission to most HCD dances (including the non-swing events), an occasional "free for members" dance, and mailings of our calendar and special events (we no longer do mailings to nonmembers). HCD membership is $10 for the full year (September thru August) or $5 for a partial year (January thru August). Sign up for membership at any HCD dance. Alternatively, you can print, complete, and mail in our membership form.
